Grade School Admission
St. Paul University Dumaguete through the Admission Committee admits new students and
transferees based on the results of their entrance or qualifying examinations, personal interviews, report card,
character evaluation and the student's and parent's acceptance of the school's philosophy, objectives and policies.
Eligibility:
Applicant for:
| Nursery | Must be 3 1/2 years old on or before the first day of classes of the school year |
| Kinder I | Must be 4 1/2 years old on or before the first day of classes of the school year |
| Kinder II | Must be 5 1/2 years old on or before the first day of classes |
| Grade I | Must be 6 1/2 to 7 years old on or before the first day of classes |
Procedure:
- applicants must secure an application form from the Guidance Office
- Eligible applicants are allowed to take the examinations on scheduled dates
- Pay the testing fee at the Finance Office and present the receipt to the Guidance Counselor, who will issue the test permit and schedule the test
- A non-refundable examination fee is charged
- The Principal makes the final decision regarding admission
Basic Requirements:
All Students seeking admission to the Grade School Department must fulfill and submit the following
requirements to the Principal's Office:
- Letter of Recommendation or Certification of Transfer and Good Moral Character from any one of the following: Principal, Guidance Counselor or Class Adviser from the previous school attended
- Report Card (Form 138)
- Photocopies of the Birth and Baptismal Certificates
- A satisfactory rating of 80 % and above in the entrance examination
- Students who failed in the entrance examination will fill up the On Probation Form B
- Willingness of the parents and applicant to abide by the the rules and regulations of the school. They manifest this by affixing their signatures in the conformation Slip of the Student Handbook
- For foreign applicants; study permit from t1e Bureau of Immigration
