Guidance and Counseling
The Guidance Office, through the guidance counselor conducts an Orientation Program for freshmen
and transferees at the start of the semester. The students are counseled on how to meet their physical, academic
and emotional needs and are guided towards full development of their personality through the integration of social
and spiritual enrichment.
The College provides the Guidance Office with staff and facilities that: (a) take care of student's needs, (b) counsel students in resolving problems, and (c) provide co-curricular activities aimed at developing responsible patterns of social behavior and participation.
The Guidance office makes available to students measures of academic skills and personality testing. Test in specific areas of intelligence, aptitude, interest, and attitudes are utilized to ensure a realistic evaluation of a students' personality and his emotional needs.

Special Services
- The orientation Program is our way of welcoming you to the college. It is introducing you to the academic unit, facilities on campus, and the different guidance services.
- The group Guidance Activities for the entering first year students is filled with activities that may help you adjust to college life.
- The Peer Councilor's Group is an arm of the Guidance Center so that your stay here at St. Paul University Dumaguete will be more exciting and enjoyable, something you would always want to look back after graduation.
