SPUD's Pre-Service Teachers Begin Cultural and Educational Journey in Thailand

SPU Dumaguete's pre-service teachers, Stephanie Blake G. Ablir, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and Christille E. Abjelina, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, recently arrived at St. Joseph Si Songkhram School in Thailand, marking the start of an exciting month-long adventure. The school greeted them warmly with flowers, symbolizing friendship and hospitality, as they began their enriching experience of teaching, learning, and cultural exchange.

During their stay, Stephanie and Christille will engage with local students and educators, sharing their expertise and gaining valuable insights into Thai culture and educational practices. This immersive experience aims to foster global understanding, enhance teaching skills, and promote cross-cultural collaboration.

Their journey not only contributes to their professional growth but also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). By participating in this international exchange, they exemplify SPUD’s commitment to preparing future educators who are globally conscious, culturally sensitive, and dedicated to making a positive impact worldwide.
