SPUD extends support after a fire incident destroys Grade 6 classroom

In a heartwarming display of solidarity and support, St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) has donated 30 wooden classroom chairs to Nangka Elementary School (NES) in Bayawan City. The donation comes after a fire incident on March 15, 2024, which destroyed the Grade 6 classroom of Teacher Marie Ann Umbac.

The handover ceremony took place at the SPUD Campus, where Kagawad Marlon Duhaylungsod officially received the donated chairs. The SPUD Administration, led by Sr. Mila Grace Silab SPC, has been commended for their utmost support and genuine donation. The transportation of the chairs was made possible by Chairman John Alcantara.

The fire incident at NES left the school community devastated, especially the students and teachers who were affected. The donation from SPUD is a testament to the strong bond between educational institutions in the region and their commitment to uplift the lives of their students.

Nangka Elementary School expresses its deepest gratitude to St. Paul University Dumaguete for their generous contribution. The donated chairs will help restore the learning environment for the Grade 6 students and ensure they can continue their education without further interruption.
