Reminiscing the Past with Gratitude

Batch 1996 Reunion with Sr. Pura Villanueva

Thirty years after their college graduation, the BBA-BSA Batch 1996—now successful in their respective fields and coming from different walks of life—reconnected through Facebook and Messenger, grateful for the gift of technology that brought them together once again. Through shared stories and laughter, they reminisced about their college days and relived beautiful, unforgettable memories.

As a meaningful way of giving back to the place where their journey began, the group planned a special trip—to visit and pay tribute to someone who had profoundly shaped who they are today. The occasion was even more significant as she was about to celebrate her 95th birthday. The proposal was met with enthusiastic approval, and plans quickly took shape.

On January 30, 2026, twenty-five members of the batch traveled to Iloilo, to Mere Monique, where their beloved former College Dean now resides. She is none other than Sr. Pura Villanueva, SPC—a mentor, guide, and inspiration to many.

The gathering was truly joyful, meaningful, and memorable. Sr. Pura, together with the SPC Sisters of Mere Monique, warmly welcomed visitors who came from different parts of the Philippines, united by one shared purpose: to give back with gratitude.

For BBA-BSA Batch 1996, distance was never a hindrance. What once seemed unlikely became possible through the dedication and initiative of active members who carefully planned and carried out this heartfelt journey.

To our dear Paulinian Alumni—thank you for keeping the spirit alive.
