St. Paul University Dumaguete Receives Certificate of Recognition from CHED Regional Office XVIII

St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) proudly announced its recent achievement as it received a Certificate of Recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XVIII - Negros Island Region. The certificate affirms SPUD’s status as an approved Delivering Higher Education Institution (DHEI) and recognizes the institution’s compliance with CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 09, Series of 2025, concerning the implementation of the Scholarships for Staff and Instructors' Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) for both full-time and part-time study.
The award was formally conferred by Regional Director Raul Alvarez, Jr., REE, EdD, CESO III, during a ceremony held at the CHED Regional Office in Dumaguete City. The event was attended by key representatives from SPUD, including Sr. Mila Grace Silab, SPC, University President; Dr. Maricar Flores, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Tichie Ann Baena, Dean of the Graduate School and Dr. Mary Jane Galera, Head of the Scholarship Office.
The certification highlights SPUD’s compliance with government policies aimed at enhancing the professional growth of academic staff through scholarship programs. It also highlights the university’s active participation in national efforts to elevate the quality of higher education in the region.
