St. Paul University Dumaguete at the WURI 2025 Global Conference

St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) was honored to be represented at the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025 Global Conference, held last September 24–26, 2025 at the Busan International College, Busan, Korea, with Tongmyong University as the local host.
SPUD Representatives
• Ms. Angela Kristine Ocao, shared “Journeying Together: Empowering Paulinian Leaders through Active Engagement”, which earned a 17th place recognition in Empowerment-Based Management.
• Dr. Maricar Flores, presented the research “SPUD’s Digital Leap: A WURI-Guided Framework for Innovation and AI Integration in Higher Education”, co-authored with Dr. Maria Kathleen June J. Mariño.
• Dr. Marissa Carale joined the delegation, contributing to SPUD’s presence and representation with distinction.
This year, SPUD is proud to have attained the 189th spot in the overall WURI 2025 Global Innovation Rankings, placing the University among the top 400 most innovative institutions worldwide, out of 1,253 universities from 87 countries.
SPUD also garnered recognition in specific categories:
• 17th in Empowerment-Based Management
• 50th in University Brand and Reputation
• 51st in Technology Development and Application
