A City Born by the Sea
NOV 24
Seventy-seven years ago, on a quiet morning by the sea, a small town woke to the sound of waves. The ink on its charter had barely dried, yet the air already carried the promise of a city finding its name, its voice, its future. The charter was signed, the name was sealed, and Dumaguete began a new chapter.
Since then, the city has grown like a story told in warm sunlight: in its stories, its streets, its festivals, and the familiar comfort of home.
And through it all, the heart of the city remained the same—gentle, warm, and welcoming.
Happy 77th Charter Day, Dumaguete City!
