APR 25
St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD), in collaboration with TESDA and the DSWD Walang Gutom Program, successfully held the Graduation Ceremony and Bread and Pastry Production NC II Tool Kit Distribution for TESDA STEP scholars, at Father Louis Chauvet Hall.
The event featured significant moments—from the presentation and confirmation of graduates to the distribution of essential toolkits—led by distinguished officials and partners: Sr. Mila Grace Silab, SPC (University President), PD Fletcher B. Gumahad (TESDA Provincial Director), Ms. Jewel Goldamir C. Macayan (Regional Program Coordinator, DSWD Walang Gutom Program), Mr. Rodmar G. Sumog-oy (Compliance Verification Officer, Walang Gutom Program NIR), and Mrs. Lorielin J. Oira, MA-CDDS (TESDA Coordinator, SPUD).
This initiative is part of the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), a community-based training aimed at addressing local skills needs and promoting employment through entrepreneurship, self-employment, and service-oriented activities. The program offers short-term, module-based training aligned with TESDA regulations, preparing beneficiaries for productive livelihoods.
As part of the STEP Scholarship Grant, TESDA provided graduates with essential toolkits, including a 45-liter oven and electric mixer—tools that will serve as a foundation for livelihood opportunities in Bread and Pastry Production.
Congratulations to all graduates! Your dedication and resilience pave the way for a brighter, more empowered community.
