SPUD Education Students Launched

Education Students from Saint Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD), from first year to fourth year, launched the "Basa ta Bata" Program for the Academic year 2026-2027 at Magsaysay Memorial Integrated Farm School (MMIFS) on August 14, 2026, aiming to strengthen the reading literacy and comprehension of the learners.

Serving as the speaker during the launch, Dr. Kenneth Paul C. Duran emphasized the role of students volunteers in guiding the learners, saying, "Your ates and kuyas are here to guide and teach you to help with your reading comprehension.”

The opening activity featured the "Hunong, Hi - Hello ice breaker” to let the learners engage joyfully with their teachers and strengthen their bond, followed by the diagnostic test to assess the learners' reading skills. The program was warmly received by the school community, marking the beginning of the students' literacy mentoring sessions.
