St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) Saints Football Team started their NORSAA 2025 campaign with a strong 3–1 win over Negros Maritime College (NMC) on September 28, 2025, at the Foundation University Football Field.

The Saints dominated the first half, scoring three quick goals and taking control of the match. NMC scored once, but SPUD’s defense and goalkeeper stayed strong to stop any further goals.

“Our journey in this tournament, whether we win or lose, will give us valuable experience and strengthen our brotherhood. We also take pride in representing our school on the field,” said Team Captain Marc Joseph Opada (#10).

With this victory, the Saints showed teamwork, determination, and pride in their school colors as they prepare for the rest of the season.
